Abstract
The orbits may be involved in up to half the patients with sarcoidosis. Most of this disease involves the anterior segment of the eye (uveitis). Involvement of the optic nerve occurs in only about 5% of the cases, and. of these, it is rare to have direct granulomatous involvement of the optic nerve. Such a case is presented, and the differential diagnosis is discussed.
