Abstract
Sex, sexuality, and sexual function are often topics that patients want to discuss with their primary care provider [1-4]. The overall prevalence of patients with sexual concerns is estimated at 30 % for men and 30-40 % for women both in the USA and abroad [1-3]. Sexual health is defined by the World Health Organization as a “state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality; it is not merely the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity. Sexual health requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences” [6, 7].
