Abstract

We report on an 84-year-old patient with an ICD who received a shock after a spontaneously terminated nonsustained ventricular tachyarrhythmia. We discuss the possible mechanisms of cardioversion after conversion of ventricular tachycardia and interventions that may prevent this type of inappropriate shock.
