Abstract

Upon completion of the chapter, the student will be able to: 1. Describe the age-related physiologic changes in the cardiovascular system. 2. Explain and identify clinical features of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases in the older adult. 3. Recognize and be familiar with a variety of testing modalities used in the workup of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases. 4. Identify and describe the treatments for cardiovascular and peripheral arterial diseases.
