Abstract
Botulinum toxin continues to gain widespread popularity in dermatology. Botulinum toxin type A has been used for the temporary eradication of facial rhytides and for hyperhidrosis. Guidelines for the administration of botulinum toxin type A, however, have not been firmly established. In this review, the authors present techniques and dosing regimens that the dermatologist commonly uses. In addition, the authors mention the potential side effects associated with these methods.
