Abstract

The neurobiological investigations of neurosis continue to center on panic disorder (PD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Refinements in the methodology of challenge studies and the increasing use of functional neuroimaging provide important clues in understanding the neuroanatomy and the relationships among neurotransmitter systems in these disorders.
