Abstract

Correction to: Nature Reviews Clinical Oncologyhttps://doi.org/10.1038/s41571-026-01131-4, published online 23 February 2026 In the version of the article initially published, in the second paragraph of the “cfDNA” section, the text “However, subsequent retrospective validation in a cohort of individuals eligible for lung cancer screening revealed a low PPV of 1.3%, probably owing to low specificity (58%). No stage-specific specificity values were provided, although the sensitivity for stage I and II lung cancers was 71% and 89%, respectively” has been revised to “However, subsequent validation in a cohort of individuals eligible for lung cancer screening revealed a low PPV of 1.3%, probably owing to low specificity (58%). The sensitivity for stage I and II lung cancers was 71% and 89%, respectively.” This correction has been made to the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
