N2 - Laryngoplastic phonosurgery techniques have evolved during the last decade so that three main procedures are routinely used for surgical rehabilitation of an incompetent larynx. These three procedures are ML, bilateral ML, and combined AA-ML. These laryngoplastic surgeries are versatile procedures with distinct indications and surgical techniques. These surgeries can be applied to help patients with vocal fold paralysis, paresis, scarring, and atrophy. Careful evaluation of the preoperative phonatory function, endoscopic findings, and patient's needs is required to obtain the optimal results.
