Abstract

Separation of cells on the basis of a number of morphimetric parameters on a laser-activated cell sorter has recently been possible on a relatively large scale, thus permitting experimental approaches not before possible. Sorting of cells simultaneously according to more than one set of criteria has allowed a number of approaches to be developed. In particular, a study of DNA repair processes under limiting condition not previously possible due to toxicity of DNA damaging agents used is reported.
