Abstract

An EGR system with Venturi mixer was applied to a heavy-duty turbocharged intercooled diesel engine. Detailed tests were carried out under varied working conditions for researching the characteristics of EGR. Through the optimum emission test for EGR according to 13 mode test cycle, it proves that the optimized EGR strategy can reduce the NO2 emission efficiently and limit the negative influencee on HC, CO, PM and BSFC.
