Abstract

Low-dose apomorphine did not improve schizophrenic symptoms or TD in patients with various clinical states of schizophrenia, despite neurochemical and neuroendocrine verification that apomorphine did have a central nervous system effect. Future studies of various doses of apomorphine given with various neuroleptics of differing classes may help determine if such a combination might have more beneficial, synergistic effects.
