Abstract

The topic of antioxidants in skin care is a rapidly growing field and one that offers much excitement and promise; however, though both oral and topical antioxidants are important, they are not equivalent and more studies are needed for both routes. As we discover more natural antioxidants, as well as learn more about their synergistic effects and efficient ways of using those antioxidants to disarm free radicals, their undeniable and extreme importance in the treatment and protection of skin will only become even more apparent.
