Abstract
By combiniting the median labiomandibulotomy with resection of the eustachian tube, the surgeon is provided with wide exposure of the lateral and anterior compartments of the skull base. The operative technique, its indications and complications in the management of tumors of the nasopharynx, parapharyngeal space, infratemporal fossa, sphenoid sinus, clivus, and upper cervical vertebrae are discussed.
