Abstract

A repeatable knee coordinate system is described based on the detailed and precise quantitative anatomy of each bone as determined by stereophotogrammetry (SPG) and coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The proposed coordinate system based on mathematical fits to the anatomical data provides consistent kinematic results.
