Abstract

Rice anther mitochondrial proteins from sporophyte male sterility line (Zhenshan 97A), maintainer line (Zhenshan 97B), F_I hybrid (Shanyou 63) and gametophyte male sterility line (Congguang 41A), maintainer line (Congguang 41B), F_I hybrid (Guangyouqing) were analysed by SDS-PAGE. It showed the band patterns between maintainer line and F_I hybrid (Zhenshan 97B & Shanyou 63, Congguang 41B & Guangyouqing) were very similar. Only one polypeptide was distinct from each other respectively. Sterility lines (Zhenshan 97A & Congguang 41A) band patterns were quite different from their maintainer lines and F_I hybrids.
