Analysis of anther proteins from sporophyte male sterility lines of rice in microspore development

Abstract

Comparative studies on anther proteins from Ma Xie A, Ma Xie B,Ma Xie 63 (F1) and Zhen Shan 97A, Zhen Shan 97B, Shan You 63 (F1) at different microspore developmental stages were performed by SDS-PAGE. The results showed that there were about twelve polypeptides in Ma Xie line and about ten polypeptides in Zhen Shan 97 line expressed temporally. Nine and six polypeptides may be associated with cytoplasmic male sterility of Ma Xie A and Zhen Shan 97A respectively.
