Abstract
The state-of-the-art review introduces pathophysiological concepts into the modem paradigm for diagnosis and management of unstable angina and non- Q-wave myocardial infarction. New opportunities for better understanding of the mechanisms of acute coronary syndromes and for development of more effective therapeutic strategies are discussed.
