Abstract

Highly purified preparations of mouse L-cell interferon exhibited a small but consistent antiviral activity in human amnion cells (U-line) challenged with arbovirus A strain Middelburg. This heterologous activity was variable, but titers usually ranged from 1 to 5% of those found in homologous mouse L-cells challenged with vesicular stomatitis virus.
