Abstract

Uninephrectomized rats made hypertensive by the combined administration of desoxycorticosterone and high sodium diet showed a decreased ability to accumulate tritiated norepinephrine in the heart. The level of endogenous cardiac norepinephrine was also reduced. A highly significant inverse relationship was observed between the blood pressure and the accumulation of tritiated norepinephrine in the heart.
