Abstract
This study in 25 patients demonstrates that a solution consisting of bupivacaine, 0.5%, 20 ml, and chloroprocaine, 3%, 10 ml, produces an axillary block that has a rapid onset, prolonged duration, and no increase of toxicity. Postoperative analgesia is both prolonged and excellent.
