Abstract

A new method to interface the load model with the form of nonlinear difference equation with power system simulation programs is proposed. It is simultaneously suited to the synchronization of step length transform of load models in linear and nonlinear difference equation form. Using such features of difference equation as simple structure and easy to identify, the proposed method embeds its identification algorithm into power system simulation programs, so the adjustment of step length of nonlinear difference equation is solved and the calculation step length of difference equation is able to automatically trace the step length variation of power system simulation. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the measured dynamic response data of the load.
