Abstract

C-glycosylation reactions were performed with the 2-chloro derivatives of NANA, KDN and KDO. C-glycosides were obtained when carbonyl compounds (ketone or sugar aldehyde) were coupled to the 2-chloro-derivatives of these ulosonic acids under Barbier conditions.
