Abstract

Knowledge of surgical anatomy is paramount in cutaneous reconstruction. With this knowledge, a surgeon can devise the proper closure method for a patient's primary cutaneous defect. One of the main objectives of wound closure is improving the functional aesthetics of the deficit. This article, the second in a 2-part series, provides a brief review of skin flaps and grafts that can be used in cutaneous surgery.
