Biography
Yuichiro Kuwama, MD is a board-certified primary care doctor at Mount Sinai Doctors, seeing patients Monday - Friday in Midtown. Trained in Tokyo and New York, he is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He was awarded his medical degree from the University of Tokyo’s School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center. He has been nationally recognized, receiving the Dr. Stuart C. Alexander Award for Most Outstanding Medical House Officer in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Beth Israel Medical Center and chosen as a member of the Leo M. Davidoff Society for providing high quality teaching at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to joining Mount Sinai Doctors, he served as the health commentator for various Japanese television programs and contributor author for several medical journals and Japanese medical textbooks.
