Biography

Dr. Seungjun Ahn is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Population Health Science and Policy. His current research focuses on developing and applying statistical methods and bioinformatics tools to solve problems in -omics data based on differential network analysis. Dr. Ahn received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of Florida, advised by Drs. Somnath Datta and Samuel S. Wu. He was the NIH/NIAAA T32 predoctoral fellow at the Southern HIV and Alcohol Research Consortium, Emerging Pathogens Institute (PI: Dr. Robert L. Cook) from 2021-2023. Prior to his doctoral studies, he was a biostatistician at the Biostatistics Unit, Feinstein Institute for Medical Research at Northwell Health. He conferred his M.S. in Biostatistics from Columbia University and B.A. in Mathematics from Boston University.
