Lewis, MD is Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology in the Body Imaging Section at The Mount Sinai Medical Center. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Colgate University, she completed medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2005. After finishing residency in Diagnostic Radiology at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York where she also served as Chief Resident, she then went on to complete an additional year of sub specialization in abdominal MRI and CT. She subsequently joined the Body Imaging Section in 2011. Dr. Lewis has a broad and active interest in many aspects of Body MRI, CT and US, including hepatobiliary, pancreatic, genitourinary, prostate, gastrointestinal imaging. She has a particular interest in the imaging of diffuse liver and renal disease, solid organ malignancy and evaluation of tumor response to therapy. At Mount Sinai, Dr. Lewis has participated in multiple areas of clinical research in abdominal imaging. Recent and current projects include imaging assessment of hepatobiliary neoplasms and advanced MRI techniques such as diffusion weighted imaging (DWI). She has also participated in a large-scale multi-center study examining patient directed Internet based medical image sharing in collaboration with the Health Policy Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Lewis has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and actively lectures around the country. She is a reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed imaging journals. Dr. Lewis is also actively involved in radiology resident education, serving as a member of the Core Clinical Competency Committee. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, Radiologic Society of North America, and American Roentgen Ray Society. She is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology.
