Biography

Robert Hiensch, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He is board certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellowship, and Sleep Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He served as Chief Fellow during his final year of Pulmonary & Critical Care training and was awarded the Alvin S. Teirstein, MD Fellow Award for excellence in clinical practice, teaching, and research. Dr. Hiensch's clinical and research interests include critical care medicine and sleep related breathing disorders.
