ASSISTANT PROFESSOR | PSYCHIATRY

Biography

I am an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai working in the Depression and Anxiety Center. I am board certified in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. I am licensed to practice in New York State. I completed residency, a clinical fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry, and a T32 fellowship in Late Life Neuropsychiatry at Columbia University. My research aims to investigate the phenotype and biological changes associated with psychiatric symptoms in neurodegenerative disorders and to develop novel therapies based on these findings. To this end, I have treated and assessed patients with degenerative brain disorders, including: mild cognitive impairment (MCI), Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and related disorders, Huntington’s Disease (HD), Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), and Alzheimer’s disease (AD).I have been clinically active since medical school and continue to evaluate and treat older patients with and without neurodegenerative illness.
