Biography

Dr. Lara Zucconi Vanyo serves as the Mount Sinai System Faculty Wellness Champion for the Department of Emergency Medicine, with special interests in physician burnout, teamwork, faculty development and mentorship. She holds the title of Associate Program Director for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Beth Israel. Dr. Vanyo graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 with a major in the Biological Basis of Behavior and a minor in creative writing. She then received a Masters of Science degree from the London School of Economics in 2009 and her medical degree in 2013 from the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where she was a member of AOA. Dr. Vanyo completed her training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Emergency Medicine Residency in 2017. Dr. Vanyo works clinically at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
