Biography
Ksenia O Gorbenko, PhD is a sociologist with interests in health care delivery and policy, in particular patient and provider experience. Dr. Gorbenko received medical sociology training in the context of the AHRQ Safety Program for Surgery, conducting 26 site visits and interviewing over 300 healthcare professionals across the U.S. as part of the ethnography team. She received her health policy training at The Dartmouth Institute for HealthPolicy and Clinical Practice, where she worked on a project investigating workforce redesign in accountable care organizations. Her current projects investigate patient satisfaction in oncology, patient resilience and treatment adherence in inflammatory bowel disease, and provider burnout. Dr. Gorbenko has published in health services and sociology and has extensive teaching experience in sociology and qualitative research methods.
