Biography

Dr. Kimberley Thornton is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist as well as a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Thornton is knowledgeable in many reproductive technologies, and performs treatments including in vitro fertilization as well as egg freezing for elective and medical indication. Dr. Thornton provides individualized treatment for her patients and is recognized for her compassionate care. She is passionate about helping her patients overcome infertility challenges by building families and enabling them to achieve their reproductive goals. Dr. Thornton is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Thornton completed a research fellowship from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Florida State University, where she graduated cum laude with honors. She went on to earn her medical degree at FSU, and while in medical school she was elected by her peers into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of her service to others, as well as professional virtues of compassion, integrity and relationships with patients. Dr. Thornton completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center, where she also served as administrative chief resident. Her subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility was also completed at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Thornton has published scientific abstracts and articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her research at national conferences. She has held leadership positions representing the state of New York for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
