Biography

Kevin Munjal is a board-certified Emergency Medical Services physician who did his EMS fellowship at the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). He also holds two Masters degrees, one in Health Policy & Management and the other in Clinical Research. He is the System Director for the Division of EMS, Director for Mount Sinai Community Paramedicine and Online Medical Control. He also serves as Director for Acute Unscheduled Care for Mount Sinai Health Partners. He is a prolific health services researcher focused on community paramedicine, telehealth, and other innovations in EMS. He has been funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Institute on Aging (NIA), the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Departments of Health & Human Services (HHS), Transportation (DOT) and Homeland Security (DHS), and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), as well as numerous foundations. He is the Founder and Chair of the NY Mobile Integrated Healthcare Association (NYMIHA). Nationally, he is well-known for his leadership in EMS punctuated by his leading the development of a national framework document for “Promoting Innovations in EMS,” as well as his selection to the Technical Expert Panel that developed the national EMS Agenda 2050.
