Biography

Dr. Ka Ming (Gordon) Ngai is Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Associate Professor of Population Health Science and Policy. He is also a member of the Institute for Health Equity Research. He practices emergency medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital Main Campus and the Mount Sinai Express Care. His research interests include healthcare access related to limited English proficiency populations, minority health, health equity and large data analysis. Dr. Ngai’s research concerns the intersection of Emergency Medicine, Emergency Preparedness, and Public Health. He has been co-investigator in research funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Ngai joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai after completing his residency in 2012. He mentors junior investigators from multiple levels of training on research methodology and statistical analysis: undergraduate students, medical students, residents, and fellows.
