Biography

Dr. David Friedman has been a strong advocate for women’s health throughout his career. His practice has been focused on general and specialty gynecology since 1996. Dr. Friedman’s expertise is in working one-on-one with his patients to develop care plans that function to keep them healthy and find relief from pin, discomfort, and abnormal bleeding. Dr. Friedman specializes in well woman and problem based gynecology as well as minimally invasive surgery. He is well known throughout the community to be a kind and caring physician. Dr. Friedman graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University Hospital in Syracuse, NY. He is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. In the past he served as the Medical Director of the Birthing Center of Long Island College Hospital, and he has also served as the Chair of a New York Chapter of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His advice is often sought by government agencies as to how to develop programs and policies relating to women's health issues.
