Biography
Daniella Kadian-Dodov, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, in the sections of Vascular Medicine, and the Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory in the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute and the Marie-Josée and Henry R. Kravis Center for Cardiovascular Health of The Mount Sinai Medical Center. A graduate of New York University and the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Kadian-Dodov completed Internal Medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She conducted clinical research during her residency, and received accolades as both a young-investigator and educator, including the Department of Medicine Silver Apple Teaching Award. She has publications in basic science research regarding the behavior of vascular endothelial cells, and clinical research investigating the diagnostic role of vascular ultrasound and the clinical experience for patients with fibromuscular dysplasia. She completed vascular medicine fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Jeffrey Olin at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and is well-versed in the management and care of patients with non-coronary vascular diseases including fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD), peripheral artery disease, renal artery disease, venous thromboembolic disease, aneurysms, spontaneous arterial dissections and other less common vascular diseases. She has a dedicated vein practice for patients with post-thrombotic syndrome, varicose veins and venous insufficiency. She is currently involved in several research trials focused on improving knowledge in the pathophysiology, genetics, and management of FMD; as well as clinical investigator for large-scale trials in peripheral artery disease through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is an active educator for the internal medicine house staff and cardiology fellows, and sits on the Internal Medicine Clinical Competency Committee.
