Biography

Dan is the Reference and Instruction Librarian at the Icahn School of Medicine’s Levy Library. Dan previously worked for Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey as Education and Research Librarian at New Jersey Medical School, where he led projects related to AI and medical education, LGBTQ+ inclusive health education, and graphic medicine. Dan received a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Michigan School of Information and a Master of Information in Library and Information Science from Rutgers. Dan’s research expertise and interests include LGBTQ+ health, health information seeking, and health equity education. Dan is a yoga instructor and aerialist specializing in lyra/aerial hoop, silks, and aerial chains.
