Biography
Dr. Woodrell received his medical degree from The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and trained at The Mount Sinai Hospital as a house staff officer in internal medicine. He continued his training at Mount Sinai as a fellow in hospice and palliative medicine in the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, where he is now employed as junior faculty as a physician and clinical investigator. He is interested in the delivery of palliative care to seriously ill patients and their families, with a focus on those facing advanced liver disease and liver cancer. He completed undergraduate training in biochemistry at Swarthmore College, and spent time before medical school as a ballet and modern dancer in New York City. He hails from Mission Viejo, in Southern California.
