Biography
As a mother of three, Dr. Rhee has a special viewpoint on the needs of her obstetric patients: she believes strongly that women should make their own choices among the various styles of labor. Thus, she supports labor and birth in Mount Sinai Roosevelt's Birthing Center, as a patient option in low-risk deliveries. Dr. Rhee joined the faculty of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai St. Luke's Roosevelt in 1998. From 1990 until 1998, she was in private practice here in New York City, and served as an attending physician at St. Vincent's Hospital and at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She also found it rewarding to practice in a variety of clinics, including at a homeless shelter, the Chinatown Clinic, and a Korean clinic. Dr. Rhee is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and she is fluent in Spanish and Korean.
