Biography

Alexis M. Zebrowski, PhD MPH, is the Executive Director of Data Strategy at the Mount Sinai Health System and an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Population Health Science and Policy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She also serves as Co-Director of the Mount Sinai Center for Healthcare Readiness. Dr. Zebrowski's work focuses on integrating data to enhance care delivery and efficiency for patients across the care continuum, particularly during periods of acute patient surge. Her research interests include disaster preparedness and response, as well as the use of administrative data to explore population-based outcomes and innovation in the healthcare delivery system.

Dr. Zebrowski’s expertise lies at the intersection of system science, epidemiology, and healthcare services research. She collaborates with a multidisciplinary group of investigators to develop novel solutions aimed at improving outcomes for patients requiring emergency care, incorporating community factors and those from the built environment. Prior to joining the faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Zebrowski was a Research Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed both her doctoral degree in Epidemiology and her Master of Public Health at the University of Pennsylvania.
